Adeline B. Fletcher, 84, of Elkhart, went to her heavenly home on January 24, 2019 at 8:10 AM surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Grovertown, Indiana on July 5, 1934 to Frank and Gladys (Freet) Young.  On May 31, 1952 Adeline married Robert D. Fletcher, Sr. and he preceded her in death in July of 2005 after 53 years of marriage.  Adeline loved animals-especially dogs- and she would watch the birds and squirrels everyday.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and tending to her flower gardens; however her greatest joy was spending time with her family.  Adeline is survived by her children, Robert (Peggy) Fletcher of Elkhart, Joan (Ron) Woods of Mishawaka, Barbara (Mark) Celmer of St. Joseph, Michigan, and Carol Lester (Anthony Auricchio) of Elkhart; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and her brother, Raymond Young in 1982.  A funeral service in Adeline's honor will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 12 Noon with visitation one hour prior at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN  46561 with Pastor Allen Mock officiating.  Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Hospice, 5838 Brick Road #101, South Bend, IN  46628 or Alzheimer and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, 922 E Colfax Ave, South Bend, IN 46617.
