Adeline Knott, age 90, of South Bend, formerly of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away September 12, 2009 at Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center of natural causes. Adeline was born March 20, 1919 in Heidelberg, Germany to the late Friedrich and Adelheid (Wickenhauser) Graf.
Surviving is her daughter, Judy (Robert) Wise of South Bend and her grandchildren, Laura (Randy) Schmidt, Robert Wise, Dennis Wise, and Jay (Jen) Wise. Also surviving are 14 great grandchildren. Adeline was preceded in death by her brothers, Hanz and Herman Graf and her sister Gretchen Lawson.
Pastor Scott Smith will officiate the 11:00 am funeral service on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Lawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Adeline was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, working needlepoint, and embroidery. She was also an avid craft-maker. Adeline was a member of St. Mark''s United Church in Terre Haute for many years.
