Al Brasseur Jr., 80, South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026. He is survived by Gregg Brasseur (brother), Michael Young (son), A.J. Brasseur III (son), Julie Harris (daughter), Nancy Brasseur and 8 grandchildren who he could always make laugh. Al, otherwise known as Buzz to those who knew him best, was a devoted Rotarian and the former President of Harbor Springs Financial Management. He was fascinated by the stock market and could talk about it for hours to anyone willing to listen. He was an exercise enthusiast, a decorated swimmer and a cyclist. He loved long bike rides, especially the Hilly Hundred and the Apple Cider Century Bike Festival. He never stopped talking and telling stories. He was a master on the grill and always ready to boil a lobster or his specialty flank steaks. He loved reading - newspapers, magazines, sailing books, you name it! Buzz could often be found working in the yard, trimming the hedges, or working on house projects, with varying degrees of success, but always his trademark enthusiasm. Al’s greatest passion was sailing and he shared it with his family and friends on many long and memorable trips on the water. He will lay at rest at Saint Joesph Valley Memorial Park after a small family gathering.
