Alan Ray Mayou, 66, of Elkhart, died on August ​10th, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born August 3, 1952 to Ralph and Dorothy (McDonald) Mayou in Elkhart, Indiana. After graduating from Concord High School ​in 1970, ​Alan became a plant foreman at Monogram ​van conversions for many years and then was trained as a plumber at ​both Four Season​s RV and Forest River ​RV. Alan enjoyed gardening, as well as camping in Brown County.  He was an avid Indiana University Basketball fan, and was a softball coach at Osolo Little League for over 6 years.  Alan coached multiple undefeated seasons, was a 2 time All-Star coach and coached his daughter Rhiannon's team that won a district 14 Presidents Tournament for ​Osolo. ​​

He is survived by his children, Rhiannon Mayou and Justin Mayou, both of Elkhart; seven grandchildren; and his siblings, Don Mayou of Palm Springs, California, Diana (Steve) Stose of Melbourne, Florida, Sandra (Tim) Whitmyer of Edwardsburg, Michigan, and Alan's fiancé' Sandy Kwaitkowski of Mishawaka, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private graveside service will take place at a later date following cremation.
