Aleyamma Kuruvilla, age 78 of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012 at her residence. Aleyamma was born June 29, 1933 in Chengannur, Kerala India to the late Koshy and Mariamma (John) Abraham. Surviving is her husband of 53 years, Mr. Kompankeri V.V. Kuruvilla of Mishawaka and their children Sathish (Jiss) Kuruvilla, Suresh (Mini) Kuruvilla, and Shelin (Mathews Abraham) Mathews. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Serena, Chessia, Sarah, Joel, and Hannah.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 pm Friday, May 25, 2012 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Pastor Randy Perkins will officiate the funeral service on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Chapel Hill at 2:30 pm, with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Aleyamma came to the U.S. in 1989. She was a High School Teacher in Kerala, India (Venmony Mar Thoma High School) for many years before her retirement in 1988. Mrs. Kuruvilla was a founding member of the church, Living Epistle Fellowship in Mishawaka. Her faith in God was strong, and she spent many hours reading the Bible, praying, and counseling others. She also believed in healing through prayer. Aleyamma loved her grandchildren dearly, and loved to cook, and showed hospitality to those around her. She was a senior member of Philadelphia Full Gospel Assembly, Philadelphia (PFGA), PA and actively participated in the International Grace Prayer Group Link (IGPGL) activities.
