Alice Irene Hoover (Kelley) joined her loving Savior on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the age of 88. She was born to the late Clifford E. and Macel (Dreibelbis) Hoover on December 22, 1932. She was the beloved wife of Ronald L. Hoover (deceased), mother to Ryan, Randy and Ross Hoover, grandmother to Micah Hoover (NC), Megan Franks (HI), Lauren Hoover (IN), Garret Hoover (UT), Alex Hoover (IN) and Eric Hoover (IN) and a seven time great-grandmother (Ethan 12, Abbigale 12, Lexie 11, Raegan 10, Ezekiel 7, Chase 2, and Collins, 8 mths). Alice lived in the South Bend, Mishawaka area throughout her life until she moved to Burlington, IN in 2013 to live closer to her sons until her passing. Her sons are planning a private memorial luncheon in her memory in the near future.

Alice was active throughout her life in many ways: water skiing, ping pong, color portrait painting, motorcycling, high school art instruction (Brethren Christian HS, Osceola, IN), skydiving, college calligraphy instruction, traveling to Israel three times, flying her own powered parachute and shooting pool. She was commissioned by the University of Notre Dame to produce many distinguished calligraphy documents for the Law School and visiting dignitaries including six presidents.

She was a very accomplished student of the Bible and especially enjoyed meeting with a Bible study group in the Kokomo-Burlington area. She was active in the Grace Brethren Church of Osceola and more recently in the Burlington Church of Christ.
