Alice (Miller) Laughlin, 81, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at home.  She was born on November 16, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio to Charles Melvin and Edith Louise (Rowe) Miller.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel David Laughlin.

She is survived by her 5 children: David (Deborah) Laughlin, Andrea Childress, Alison (Bryan) Webb, Crystal (Martin) Lopez and Misty (Hector) Memije; as well as 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was an avid fan of Notre Dame football.  She enjoyed going fishing, playing bingo and spending time with family.   She worked at Jersey Joe's Restaurant in Elkhart with her daughter-in-law, Debbie and was well known for her pies.  She will be remembered fondly for her cooking:  fried chicken and gravy, cabbage rolls, the Laughlin Soup (which was eaten with peanut butter bread) and her delicious Kolaczki's.

She had a very loving nature, an infectious personality, a quick wit and a passion for telling it like it is.  She will be remembered fondly by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.  A Funeral Service in her honor will be at the funeral home on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 1 pm.  Pastor Cory Smith of Goshen Brethren Church will officiate.  Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
