Alice L. Mouros, 85, of South Bend, passed away at 6:20 pm, Tuesday, April 14, 2009 in the Sanctuary at Holy Cross, South Bend. Alice was born on January 25, 1924 in Hillsdale, IN to the late Thomas and Edna (Borin) Charters. She married Lewis Mouros in 1959 and he passed away December 28, 2003. She is also preceded in death by one son, David Hartman, who passed in 1993 and one brother, Leo Charters.
She is survived by four children, James Hartman of Danville, IL, Carol (James) Christiansen, Susan (Robert) Collier and Pat (Bob) Howard, all of South Bend. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Alice worked as a bookkeeper for Barnes & Thornburg for over 25 years. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, South Bend.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 25, 2009 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway with Rev. Karen Brugler officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
