Obituary

Almon Edward Danley, 88, of Niles MI, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida. The Florence, AL native was born March 02, 1925 to Preston & Flora (Gooch) Danley. Ed was a US Army veteran and on December 15, 1951 he married Mary A. Griffin in Niles. He retired from Uniroyal after 27 years there and was a member of the National Camper & Hikers Assoc, Restless Rovers Club and the Niles Senior Center. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. Danley; sons, Ronald Wise & Joseph Danley; siblings, Malcolm, Earl & Nadine Danley and Helen (Danley) Hines. He is survived by his sons, James E. (Nancy) Danley of Greenacres FL , Tim (Ronda) Danley of Niles and Terry Wise in Florida; brothers, Walter Danley of Chattanooga TN and Harold Danley of Florence AL; sister, Birtha (Danley) Bniecki of Winamac; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grand children. Funeral Services 11:00 Saturday January 25, 2014 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, where friends may call for one hour prior to services. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
