Alva Burton Miller, age 84 of Mishawaka, IN passed away January 13, 2023. Born March 5, 1938 to the late Donald and Esther (Weaver) Miller, Alva was a 1956 graduate of Mishawaka High School. He married his high school sweetheart Connie Montague on May 18, 1958 at Midway Gospel Tabernacle. At the age of 11 he gave his life to Jesus, proceeding to share his light through 63 years of ministry. Continuing to hold bible studies with his family throughout his entire life, Alva took great pleasure and pride in marrying and baptizing most of his family members himself. He began his career as an Aero Space Engineer for the Bendix Corp in South Bend, IN. where he designed gears for helicopter propellers. From there he went to Holiday Rambler Corp where he set up and managed their very first drafting department. Later he worked for multiple RV companies, including Progress Inc. in Hesston, Kansas where he was Vice President. Alva became an RVIA Quality Control Inspector that allowed him to enjoy traveling the US. He finally retired at 80 years old as a door greater from Walmart in 2019, fondly known as "The Bulldog"! Preceded in death by his parents, spouse Connie (Montague) Miller, brother Daniel Miller, sister Frances Nettrouer and granddaughter Jana, he is survived by children Hope (Barry) Spradlin, Holly Cadam and Matthew Miller as well as five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will be held at the Greater Faith Fellowship 59132 Elm Rd. Mishawaka, IN 46544 Wednesday January 18, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
