Anna M Murphy, 91, died in her home in Laurel Mississippi with her family by her side.
Anna lived in Elkhart Indiana for 50 plus years and moved to Texas with family in 2007 then moved to Mississippi with the same family in 2022. She loved to grow flowers, was a beautiful quilt maker and painted and embroidered beautiful works of art. She loved her art books and had enough to fill a bookstore. She also loved her dog, Ginger. That dog was her life to the end. They were inseparable. Above all she loved her family and always had time to talk to them. She loved going on family outings and going to visit family and friends. We have learned many family traditions from her that have been passed down to younger generations. From holidays to cooking what she calls, real southern cooking. We will forever be blessed by having her for a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harold and her two sons, Mike and Kevin.
She is survived by her daughters Diane Zimmerman, Susan Lack, Becky Murphy, Judi Smith and Penny Newman and her son Dennis.
She had 21 grandchildren 36 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home 10776 McKinley Hwy Osceola, IN Monday April 17, 2023 at 11:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
