Anna Gilvin, age 98, of Elkhart passed away on February 14, 2016 at Hubbard Hill Retirement Village. She was born April 30, 1917 to Russell Poynter and Rosa Lee in Petersville, Kentucky. On April 7, 1937, Anna married Clyde Joseph Gilvin. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2003. She enjoyed quilting, word search puzzles, traveling, and gardening. Anna is survived by her children, Clyde (Donita) Gilvin Jr. of California, Charles (Doris) Gilvin of Arizona, Calvin (Laura) Gilvin of South Carolina, Tim (Nancy) Gilvin and Terry (Marie) Gilvin both of Mishawaka; twenty grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde; and a daughter, Nancy Penny. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 4-8 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561. There will be a funeral in Mrs. Gilvin''s honor on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10 AM at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be directed to Hubbard Hill Memorial Garden Fund, 28070 CR 24 West, Elkhart, IN 46517.
