Anne E. Claeys, 94, of Mishawaka, died Sunday July 16, 2017 at Heritage point. The Mishawaka native was born January 29, 1923, the third of five children to Bartolomeo & Maria (Chiarappa) Manosperta. She graduated from Mishawaka High School with the Class of ''41 and on October 9, 1948, Anne married Jack C. Claeys, who preceded her in death on May 15, 1976. Anne retired as a secretary in the offices of Wheelabrator-Frye and had a lifelong love of big bands and ballroom dancing. She was proud of her Italian heritage and loved the time she spent with family & friends and especially her grandchildren. She was also an avid Chicago White Sox fan. In addition to her parents and her husband Jack, Anne was also preceded in death by her grandson, Brian Biedenweg; great-grandson, Wyatt Stultz; 3 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Baron) Biedenweg of Angola, Becky Merriman of Mooresville, Debbie (Bill Steenbeke) Brenneman of Mishawaka and Linda (Mark) Sevy of Granger; grandchildren, Joslyn (Will) Roberson of Mooresville, Jason Mazurkiewicz of Mishawaka, Travis (Tiffany) Merriman of Hodgenville KY, Meredith (Rob) Revard of Sylvania OH, Jessica (Courtney) Stultz of Osceola, Adam (Samantha) Claeys-Smith of Elkhart, Jacob Biedenweg of Columbia City; ten great-grandchildren and her second husband, Harry Homeleski, who has remained Anne''s loving companion since 1984. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Wednesday July 19, 2017 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Private burial will be held in Fairview Cemetery.
