On Sunday, November 28, 2021, after a brief illness, Annette Lynn Contat, 72, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and friend, went home to be with Jesus. She was born on April 12, 1949 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Earl and Betty Phillips.

She grew up in Wyatt, Indiana, and attended School in the PHM School District. She attended Ball State University as well Indiana University- South Bend, and after graduation became an Elementary School Teacher, teaching for over 33 years at Hums Elementary in Mishawaka, and at Emmons Elementary School in Mishawaka. She was a member at Sugar Grove Church in Goshen, Indiana where her and her entire family have been attending for over a decade.

Annette is survived by her husband, Dennis Contat; daughters, Jessica (Jeff) Petermann and Kristalynn Contat; grandchildren, Addison and Analeigh Contat, and Ayden, Avery, and Alivianna Petermann.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home located at 10776 McKinley Hwy Osceola, IN 46561. Annette's Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A private burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to RETA, a pro-life organization that Annette cared very much about. Memorial contributions can also be made to Sugar Grove Church in Goshen, IN.
