April Elizabeth Jacobs-Macigewski, age 25, of Mishawaka, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 6, 2011. April was born July 13, 1986 in Richmond, Virginia. April graduated from Memorial High School in Elkhart in 2004. On August 21, 2010, she married Mark Macigewski at the Shiojiri Gardens in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Her husband Mark survives, along with her daughter, Sarah Kinne of Elkhart. Also surviving is her father Billy (Marjorie) Jacobs of Bullock, N.C., and her mother, Carolyn (Lee) Wheeler of Elkhart. April is also survived by her brother Gene (Heather) Jacobs and her sister Tracy Jacobs and her step-brother, Edward Wheeler, all of Elkhart. Surviving as well is her nephew Cameron Jacobs and her nieces and Tyronia Harris and Emma Jacobs as well as her in-laws Richard and Janet Macigewski, of Baroda, MI.
Calling will be held from 11-1 and 4-7 pm Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. A memorial service will be held privately at a later date.
April enjoyed playing the drums in the Memorial High School Band, taking dance class and had studied karate for many years, becoming a second degree black belt in the martial arts, and playing the guitar. She and her husband Mark enjoyed fishing, taking long walks, and crocheting together. She was a member of the Victory Chapel Church in Osceola, and was very involved and active in Wednesday evening Bible studies, and donating Bibles to those in need, especially children.
In her memory, donations may be made to the Sarah Kinne trust fund at INTERRA Credit Union, or Heartland Hospice.
