Ardith P. Eby, 84, of Osceola, died Monday, August 24, 2015. The Mishawaka native was born August 7, 1931 to Ernest & Margaret (Stoops) Rafferty. She graduated from Mishawaka High School with the Class of 1949 and on January 28, 1950 she married Ronald L. Eby who preceded her in death in 2001 after 51 years of marriage. Ardith was a lifelong Mishawaka-Osceola resident and one of the early members of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, where she regularly volunteered with parish events & activities. She worked in various capacities with the Penn Harris Madison School District from 1975-1996 and also with Cardinal Healthcare in South Bend on the front desk as the evening receptionist from 1985-2015 as well as volunteering with the College Football Hall of Fame. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Naomi Casa Santa & Murphy Rafferty. Ardith is survived by her children, Jeff (Debbie) Eby of Dallas TX, Mike Eby of Osceola, Tim (Kathi) Eby who alternate between St Louis MO & Columbus OH and Marty (Diane Seifert) Eby of Edwardsburg; brother, Florn (Marietta) Rafferty of Rensselaer; grandchildren, Jeff Thompson of Dallas, Brian Eby of San Francisco, Kelci Eby, McKenzie Eby and Lindsey Eby, all of Columbus OH and great-grandchildren, Shealyn, Brendan, Mason and Lauren Thompson. Mass of Christian Resurrection 10:30 Friday August 28, 2015 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4508 Vistula Rd. where friends may call one hour prior to Mass.
