Arena C. Gropp, 85, of Mishawaka, died Friday January 6, 2017. The North Manchester native was born January 24, 1931 to Ora O. & Lois (Rust) Watts. On November 4, 1951 she married Bernerd W. Gropp, who preceded her in death on May 20, 2012 after 60 years of marriage. Arena was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert & Eldon Watts. She enjoyed activities & their planning and liked assisting the activities director at Golden Living; she also enjoyed playing Bingo and visiting the VFW Post #360 in Mishawaka. Arena is survived by her children, Ned S. Gropp & Kenneth J. (Janet) Gropp, both of Mishawaka, Bernerd W. Gropp Jr. of South Bend and Kristina (Glen) Molnar of Elkhart; sister, Margaret J. "Jane" (Bob) Hayden and brother, Franklin M. "Mack" Watts, both of Elkhart; 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services 2:00 Wednesday January 11, 2017 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. with calling one hour prior to services . Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
