A. Jean Kirkpatrick, 87, of Mishawaka, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Sterling House in South Bend. The Mishawaka native was born February 2, 1929 to Glen and Desdemonia (Sarver) Dawalt, who have both preceded her in death. On July 8, 1950, Jean married Robert J. Kirkpatrick, who preceded her in death on October 30, 2010. Jean attended the Willowcreek United Methodist Church for many years. She will be remembered as a person who was very involved and active, volunteering to help others at any opportunity. Jean is survived by her daughters, Michele Teters and Suzanne Daniels both of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Davey Dawalt of Mishawaka. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Robert; son-in-law, Larry Teters; two sisters, Wava Bennett and Agnes Procaccino. In honor of Jean''s wishes, no services are planned at this time. The family''s preferred memorial is to Heartland Hospice, 230 West Catalpa Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
