Aurora I. Fabay, 87, of South Bend, died Saturday, June 3, 2017 at home. The San Antonio Zambales, Philippines native was born February 17, 1930 to Placido and Theodora (DeLaCruz) Isidro, who have both preceded her in death. In 1958, Aurora married Geronomo Fabay, who preceded her in death in 2014. Aurora attended the United Pentecostal Church and loved to read her bible. She enjoyed playing solitaire and making hand crafts, which she gave away for holiday gifts. Aurora is survived by her children, Josie (Mark) Turnock, Leopoldo (Celine Yap) Fabay, Magdalena (Jimmy) Bezzaro, Jesse Fabay, Egardo (Adora) Fabay, Amela Fabay, Lita (Pido) Abegania, and Myrna Abon; 29 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, Geronomo; a son and daughter, and two brothers and three sisters. A funeral service in Aurora''s honor will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561 with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
