B. Paulyne "Polly" Waggoner, age 88 of Elkhart, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Polly was born December 13, 1922 to the late Paul and Beulah (Christner) Konneck in Bristol, Indiana. On May 29, 1946, she married Lawrence "Lonnie" Waggoner in Elkhart, Indiana. Lonnie preceded her in death, passing away on August 17, 1980.
Surviving are her sons Terry Waggoner and his wife Audie of Three Rivers, Michigan, and Tedd Waggoner and his wife Patricia of Elkhart, Indiana. Surviving as well are 2 grandchildren, Lonnie Waggoner and Brandi Jadin, and one great grandchild. Polly is also survived by her siblings, Dallas (Della) Konneck, Victor Konneck, Charles (Diane) Konneck, Charlotte (Boyd) Troup and Donna (Ray) Schrader. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Konneck, Robert Konneck and Paul Konneck Jr.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Friday, April 22, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, where the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 598 will hold a memorial for Polly at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Polly was self employed as the owner of Lonnie''s Bait and Tackle in Elkhart with her husband from 1954-2002. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Osceola Chapter 598 for many years. She enjoyed dancing with her husband, and they were members and past presidents of the Guys and Dolls Dance Club in South Bend for several years. She and Lonnie loved to travel, and Polly enjoyed working in her garden, and watching and feeding the birds. She was an animal lover, and had several Boston Terrier dogs throughout the years.
In her memory, donations may be made to the Eastern Star Osceola Chapter 598.
