Barbara J. England, 83 of Bristol, died Saturday May 2, 2015 at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart. The South Bend native was born March 21, 1932 to Fred & Delphia (Phillips) Adams. Barbara was a graduate of Mishawaka High School and St. Joseph Co. Conservatory of Music. She was a retired case manager for Council on Aging and was a former Red Cross volunteer. Barbara was an active member of Life Tabernacle Church and served as a Sunday school teacher for years; she also treasured her involvement with the local foster parent program and was recognized & awarded for her participation. In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband, Bert L. England and her brother, Kenneth Adams. She is survived by her children, Thomas A. (Linda) England of Walkerton, Paul M. "Marc" (Kathy) England of Lake Mary FL, Richard E. (Melodie) England of Bristol and Bonnie Sue England of South Bend; her grandchildren, Marc (Andrea) England of Ocoee FL, Tim (Allison) England of Mitchell, Heather (Miguel) Pinto of DeMotte, Tara Jose of West Des Moines IA, Mike (Stacy) England of Orlando FL, Andrew (Dana) England of Goshen and nine great-grandchildren; her brothers, Donald, Charles and David Adams, all of South Bend; her sisters, Delores (Bob) Miller of South Bend, Beverly Brewer of Indianapolis and Patricia (Al) Marchant of Edwardsburg MI. Funeral Services 2:00 Friday May 8, 2015 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. where friends may call one hour prior to services. Calling also Thursday 4-8pm in the funeral home.
