Barbara J. Garner, 72, of Plymouth, died Thursday July 6, 2017. The Franklin PA native was born April 10, 1945, the daughter of the late Raymond Hoot & Charlet (Mays Hoot) Reed. On September 29, 1962, Barbara married Alvin L.R. Garner in Las Vegas; he survives after 54 years of marriage. Barbara loved her life living on the farm; a true animal lover who cared for and nurtured animals back to health whenever necessary. A very loving person, she cherished the time spent with family & friends and her special Christmas cookies will be truly missed at the holidays. Barbara also enjoyed crochet & sewing and crafts & painting. In addition to her husband Alvin "Al'' Garner, Barbara is also survived by their children, Brian (Jennifer) Garner of Evansville, Scott Garner of Plymouth, Kimberly K. Garner of Bremen and Lisa M. (Jeff) Yontz of New Paris; her grandchildren, Justin (Kristin) Garner of Bloomington, Kelly (Nik) Cybulskis of Traverse City MI, Brandon (Amelia) Hartz of Evansville, Abbie Garner of Evansville, Brandon Garner of Mishawaka, Nathan (Brittany Beldon) Garner of Bremen, Brittney (Dustin) Sommers of Warsaw, Tom Yontz of New Paris and great-grandchildren, Emerson, Alexxis, Samuel, Charlotte-Rose and Addelyn. In addition to her mother and father, Barbara was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Samantha. The family will receive friends on Monday July 10, 2017 from 10:00am - 12:00pm in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. immediately followed by a graveside memorial and interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
