Barbara R. "Bobbie" Herendeen, 83, of Mishawaka, passed away at 7:00 pm, Friday, November 12, 2010 at Fountainview Place Nursing Home, Mishawaka. Bobbie was born on January 16, 1927 in South Bend to the late George and Florence (Haskin) Biersdorfer. On December 31, 1948, she married Charles Herendeen, who passed away on November 14, 1994. Bobbie worked for Uniroyal for 20 years before her retirement in 1967. She loved to bowl on leagues and travel. She enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas. She is survived by a brother, James (Marie) Biersdorfer of Harlinger, TX, nephews, Phillip (Teri) Biersdorfer of Holyoke, CO, Travis (Rachel) Biersdorfer of Westminster, CO, and John Eiler of Florence, SC. She is also survived by her dear friends, Nancy (Larry) Wolfe of Mishawaka, Linda (Steve) Koch of Granger, Linda (Bill) Gray of Mishawaka, and Marilyn Lutz of Mishawaka. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 15, 2010 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, with two hours of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Acera Care Hospice, 332 US Hwy 30, Ste E., Valparaiso, IN 46385 or St. Joe County Humane Society, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
