Obituary

Barbara G. King, 77, of Elkhart, passed away at 3:00 am, March 4, 2012 in Valley View Health Care Center, Elkhart, where she had been a patient for less than a week. She was born on May 13, 1934 in Fairfield, CA. She married Charles S.E. King, Sr. in Elkhart on May 22, 1958.
Charles survives along with two sons, Thomas (Joriedel) King of Hawaii and Charles (Jackie) King, Jr. of New York; two daughters, Mary E. King of Elkhart and Patricia (Scott) Rice of Shipshewana, IN; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Raymond (Annie) Robinson of Nevada and one sister, Eileen of California. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sons.
Barb had previously been employed at Fountain View and Valley View Nursing Facilities when she retired in the mid-90''s. She was past member of the Concord Fire Department Ladies'' Auxiliary, where her husband had proudly served as a volunteer fireman for many years.
Family and friends are invited, per her request, to attend a simple graveside service at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 8, 2012 in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
