Barbara N. Monroe passed peacefully, at the age of 95, into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Barbara (Deering) was born September 3, 1925, and married John L. Monroe on May 15, 1946. They raised seven children: Vicky (Sanches), John L. Monroe, Jr., Brenda (Wolff), Linda (McCabe), Joanna (Price), Robyn (Bright), and Dana (Dziagwa). She loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family. Because of her strong faith in God, she exemplified beauty and wisdom, and those who knew her felt blessed. As Proverbs 31:10 states, "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies."

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, John; her father and mother, Clifford and Sybil Deering, along with her siblings: Jenny, Charles, JW (Tunie), Fanny, and Clifford Jr. She is survived by her seven children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and her sister Joan.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN.  Friends may visit from 12PM until time of service.
