Beloved Mother and Wife, Barbara Audean Courtright, 74, of Mishawaka, passed away at 7:40 pm, Thursday, March 28, 2013 surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on July 21, 1938, in Union City, PA the daughter of the late Herman L. and Eila A. (Smith) Weed. On August 3, 1958 she married Edwin Courtright.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Ed and their children, Debbie (Jim) Courtright-Nash of Big Rapids, MI, Cindy (Harvey) Shick of Stanton, MI, Mark Courtright of Mishawaka and Chrissy (Darrin) Green of South Bend and six grandchildren, Marina, Cianna, Michael, Julia, Andrew, Owen. She is also survived by a sister, Linda (Sam) Harrison of Saegertown, PA and a brother in law, Eric Gay of Whitehouse, OH. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Lou Gay.
She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Yoder Oil for many years before her retirement in 2000. Barbara was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, Mishawaka. She served the Lord in music through her marimba playing.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Monday, April 1, 2013 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in the funeral home with Rev. David Miller officiating.
