Bertha O. Lopez, 86, of South Bend, died on Monday, November 26, 2018.  She was born on July 12, 1932 in LaBlanca, Texas to Maximilliono and Matilde (Flores) Olivarez.  Bertha married Andres Lopez and he preceded her in death in 1994.  She enjoyed collecting knick knacks, Notre Dame Memorabilia, and antiques.  Her greatest joy was being a homemaker and raising a family.  Bertha is survived by her children, Andres (Diana) Lopez, Jr., Maria D. Lopez, San Juanita Lopez, Robert (Candy Hernandez) Lopez, Johnny R. (Mary) Lopez, Mario M. (Linda) Lopez, Martina (Tony) Ruiz, Marcos (Amy) Lopez, Benito Lopez; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Placido Olivarez.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andres; two children, Romero and Martina 1 Lopez; and a sister, Elena Torres.  A funeral service in Bertha's honor will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 12 Noon in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN  46561 with calling one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
