Beryle (John) R. Kinsey, 75 of Mishawaka passed away suddenly on April 25th, 2015. "Johnny B." was born on June 16th, 1939 in Warsaw to William L. and Marian L. (Roose) Kinsey. He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1957 where he was honored as an outstanding all-sports athlete, with the Rulo Minear Award, which was presented to him by Jesse Owens. John worked at Beck Corporation as the Vice President of Purchasing. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elkhart for many years and was a volunteer coach at Cleveland Little League and the Boy Scouts of America. He played baseball in the South Bend/Michiana Senior League until recently. His teammates affectionately called him "Bulldog." He loved all sports, especially golfing, fishing, hunting, bowling and swimming. His excitement for competition, his sense of humor and sense of adventure, will be dearly missed. John is survived by his daughters: Renee Doty of Elkhart and Amy Hunnicut (Cory) of Philadelphia and his granddaughter, Ivy Hunnicut of Philadelphia; his three sisters: Kathryn Fisher of Rochester, IN, Mrs. John (Patricia) Savage of Cleveland, OH, Mrs. Timothy (Cynthia) Hamilton of Sevierville, TN, and his four brothers: Paul Kinsey of Augusta, Maine, Richard Kinsey of Clermont, Florida, and Larry (Linda)of North Webster. He was preceded in death by his son, James A. Kinsey and his sister, Maxine J. Pifer and his ex-wife, Ruth E. Nickel, (Marquardt.) He was also previously married to Carolyn Green.
