Obituary

Betty Jean Harrell, 81, of Granger, passed away at 12:20 am, Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Betty was born on October 20, 1929 in LaGrange, IN, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Helen Caldwell. On August 21, 1964, she married Richard Harrell
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard, two daughters, Sandra (Patrick) Carrico of South Bend and Cheryl (Fred) Bradley of Wakarusa; five grandchildren, Angela, Jon, Brooke, Nicolas, and Ryan; nine great grandchildren, Kyle, Kody, Zachary, Hannah, Arianna, Michael, Bryce, Camden and Emmerson and one great great granddaughter, Aggie. She is also survived by her sister, Jacqueline (James) Bartlett of Kendallville, IN. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Edward Caldwell and two sisters, Geraldine Davey and Donne Uhl.
Betty was Director of Quality Control at Uniroyal for over 45 years before her retirement in 1997. She and her husband loved to camp, enjoying special friends at Pla-Mor Campground in Bremen. She loved her dog Korky, to read, knit, work crosswords and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren and known lovingly as "Grammy"
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 25, 2011 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola with two hours of visitation prior to the service. Rev. Bart Shaw will officiate. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
