Betty M. Davis, 85, of South Bend, died Monday, December 19, 2016 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Forth Worth, TX. The South Bend native was born December 9, 1931to Clifford and Alice (Van Lue) Johnson, who have both preceded her in death. Betty will be remembered as a person who enjoyed bowling, reading romance stories, and riding motorcycles, but her greatest joy was spending time with family. She enjoyed outside activities and spending time enjoying nature. Betty is survived by her children, Daniel (Robin) Reed of Bremen, Deb (Keith) Singleton of Niles, Craig Davis of Indianapolis, Sheila Davis of Middlebury, Betty (Jeffrey) Karkiewicz of South Bend, Sue (Anthony) Williams of Texas, Harold Davis of Mishawaka; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Pete (Marlene) Johnson of Georgia; and two aunts, Aunt Gertrude and Aunt Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Harley Davis; and a great grandson, Codey Singleton. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 3-7 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN. A funeral service in Betty''s honor will be Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 10 AM at the funeral home with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
