Betty Louise Pendl, 86, of South Bend, passed away at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in Michiana Health & Rehab, Mishawaka. Betty was born on May 14, 1926, the daughter of late Harvey and Elizabeth (Fritz) King. On October 12, 1947, she married Paul J. Pendl in Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by five children, Mark J. Pendl, Craig S. (Sandra) Pendl of Greensburg, PA, Jeannine Wroblewski of South Bend, Denise K. (Tom) Allen of Barrigada, Guam, and Rodger P. (Lynn) Pendl of South Bend. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Sean, Jana, Joel, Evan, Jennifer, Melissa, Spencer, Adam, Brooke, and Clayton as well as 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul J. Pendl, who passed April 29, 2004, and three brothers, Charles, Robert, and Lawrence King.
Betty graduated in 1944 from Woodrow Wilson High School as valedictorian. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church, Lakeville. Mom enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and having her family around constantly. Mom, we know you missed Dad so much and wanted to join him when he left. We know you are with him and God now, and as much as we miss you, we know how much peace you have. May you rest in peace and love in Heaven until we can be together with you and Dad and the Lord. We love you Mom.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, October 11, 2012 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 12, 2012 in Lakeside Baptist Church, 515 Michigan Trial, Lakeville, IN, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Rev. Vito Rulli will officiate. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
