Betty Stephens, 94, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, at River Terrace Health Care Center in Bluffton, IN.

Betty was born on June 24, 1930, to Charles & Reba Mitchell in Parker, IN. Betty was a devoted mom to Connie (Ken) Hauser of Bluffton, IN and Karen (Don) Ryckeart of Granger, IN.  She also was a loving grandma to Lisa (Kelby) Weybright of Bluffton, IN, Scott (Vickie) Hauser of Goshen, IN, Amy (Todd) Richardson of Osceola, IN, and Shane (Samantha) Ryckeart of Osceola, IN. She had eleven great grandchildren: Garrett, Jacob, & Maria Weybright, Austin Replogle, Colin & Emily Hauser, Noah & Carter Richardson, and Ethan, Ella, & Cole Ryckeart.

Betty had a wide range of hobbies: cake decorating, painting ceramics, and she was an avid Notre Dame sports fan. She enjoyed crocheting and made special blankets for all her grandchildren & great grandchildren. On her 80th birthday she rode eight miles on her three wheeled bike around her neighborhood. Additionally, she loved music and directed the church choir at Pleasant Valley Church in Osceola, IN for many years.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Frank L. Stephens, parents Charles & Reba Micthell, and sisters Dorothy Nuckols & Lu Mills.

She is survived by daughters Connie (Ken) Hauser & Karen (Don) Ryckeart, four grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five sisters: Nina Howell of Farmland, IN, Rosemary Swingley of Cincinnati, OH, Sandra Knotts of Albany, KY, Diana (Dave) Gaultney of Muncie, IN, Marsha Smith of Arcola, IL, and one brother Fred (Mary) Mitchell of Sebring, FL.

A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday June 24th, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Inurnment to immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN.
