Beverly Lou (Phairas) Simmerman, age 90, of Elkhart, IN passed away May 8, 2023. Born June 11, 1932 to the late Raymond and Ruth (Miller) Phairas in Benton Harbor, MI, she was married to Lloyd G, Simmerman October 6, 1951. As a graduate of Benton Harbor High class of 1950, she spent many years sharing her life with her family and friends. Beverly loved to sew and quilt as well as garden. She adored babies, small children and her neighbors. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters Catherine Johnson, Virginia Fletcher and Ethelma Simmerman. Beverly is survived by her son Brian Simmerman of South Bend, IN, sister Mary Decker of Niles, MI, brother George Phairas of Eau Claire, MI and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Osceola, IN on Saturday May 13, 2023 at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the cemetery. A brief visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
