Billy W. Henley, age 71, of Osceola, passed away at 8:07 am Friday, March 11, 2011 at Hospice House of Elkhart County. Billy was born November 14, 1939 in Truman, Arkansas to the late George Nathaniel and Mary Rebecca (White) Henley. In 1979, Billy married Melba Wood in Truman, Arkansas. Their love has lasted over 31 years.

Melba, of Osceola, survives along with his children David Henley of Osceola, and Lynn McQueen of Granger and six grandchildren; Jennifer Perrin, Chelsie Henley, Eric Henley, Elizabeth McQueen, Matthew McQueen, and Hannah McQueen. Billy was preceded in death by his siblings, George Armond, Bud, J.W. Charles Ray and Ruby Veloris Henley.

Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola from 3-7pm Sunday, March 13, 2011 . Rev. Jewel Hager will officiate the 10:00 am funeral service on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Billy was employed for forty-four years assembling clarinets for the Selmer Company in Elkhart until his retirement in 2003. He enjoyed his job immensely and never called in sick one day of all the years he worked. He and his wife Melba enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Many years ago, Billy was a volunteer firefighter for the North Penn Fire Department. He also attended Osceola First General Baptist Church for many years.
