Bonita "Bonnie" Joyce Cardimen, age 61, of South Bend, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. Bonnie was born July 7, 1951 in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania to the late Earl and Gloria (Law) Denbow. On March 3, 1973, she married David R. Cardimen. They had just celebrated 40 years of marriage.

David survives, along with their son, David E. Cardimen. Also surviving is her grandson Dylan Jacob Cardimen, and her brothers, Earl (Debbie) Denbow, and Ronald (Lisa) Denbow, both of Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, March 29, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Bonnie graduated from Coraopolis High School in 1969, and was, in her words, a "Domestic Engineer." She was also known as an "Awesome Grandma" by her grandson Dylan, whom she loved "to the moon and back." Bonnie loved The Wizard of Oz, and collected memorabilia from the movie. She was also an Ipad fanatic, and loved playing games on it. Her smile, warmth, and sense of humor were infectious to those around her, and she loved to sing and dance around her house.

In her memory, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
