Obituary

Mishawaka - Brenda Ann Broadway, 65, passed away unexpectedly at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center on November 2nd, 2024.

Brenda was born on June 14, 1959, in South Bend to the late George and Jacqueline (Currie) DeBow. Brenda finished her degree from Penn high school in 1979, where she made many lifelong friends. Brenda married the love of her life, Knowel Broadway, on August 4, 1989. She worked at various factories throughout her life, including Patrick Metals and AM General.

Brenda loved horses, her two cats - Bear and Merle, enjoyed watching westerns and old black and white movies. She was always rocking to music from the 70s, liked going to concerts, and enjoyed crocheting. The biggest joy in Brenda's life was her family. She was an amazing wife, an incredible mother and grandmother, a great sister and friend. She was warm and inviting, funny and quick-witted. She radiated joy, and her smile and laugh were contagious. She will be extremely missed.

Brenda is survived by her husband Knowel Broadway; a son, Kristofer (Davannah) Broadway of Fort Worth, TX; three daughters – Jasma Bianca Pace of South Bend, Krystal Broadway, Kassandra Broadway of Indianapolis; one grandson, Lucas Broadway; one brother, Alan (Teresa) DeBow; and two sisters – Terry (Don) Evans and Susan (Mike) Stanton.
