IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brennan Matthew
Decker
February 7, 1991 – November 9, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brennan Matthew Decker. He passed away in his home on November 9, 2024, in Mishawaka, Indiana at the age of 33.
Brennan is survived by his wife Marianne Decker of Mishawaka, his parents Gary and Tressa Decker of Granger, and brother Brady Decker of Mishawaka. He is also survived by his grandmother, Jan Jagerman, his in-laws Roger and Fran Howard, and a large loving family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends and colleagues. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Carol Decker (Grandma Carol) and Arnold Decker, and maternal grandfather Ira Jagerman (Papa).
Brennan was born on February 7, 1991, in Mishawaka, IN to Gary and Tressa Decker. He graduated from Penn High School in 2009 and Purdue University with a degree in Organizational Leadership & Supervision. He excelled in his career at Lacay Fabrication and then at Abtrex Industries as a design engineer. Brennan met his wife Marianne in 2017 while playing trivia, and they married on August 3, 2019. As a couple they loved attending concerts, watching movies, and spending time with their nieces and nephews. The couple were proud parents to two rambunctious cats, Lance and Cheeko, who brought so much joy to their lives.
Brennan was passionate about Notre Dame football. Some of you may have been lucky enough to experience a legendary Decker tailgate at a Notre Dame home game. Through thick and thin Brennan cheered on the Irish, embodying what it means to be a Notre Dame fan. As a child, he would often be running around with his shoulder pads, golden pants, gold helmet, and football in hand, executing plays perfectly that he drew up in his notebook. He could also climb trees faster than anyone. Brennan was born with several congenital health issues; he was a miracle from the very beginning of his life. His strength through various life challenges inspired everyone involved with him. He lived his life with purpose and intention, always putting his family first. He had faith in Jesus and following Him was a core value of Brennan's. He had a tender heart and true empathy for anyone going through tough times. His family is immensely proud of him for the person he became and the personal growth he made throughout his life.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 18 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at River Valley Community Church, 55855 Bittersweet Rd in Mishawaka.
