Calvin L. Lott, 84, of Elkhart died Sunday June 29, 2014 at Hospice House of Elkhart. The Metropolis IL native was born August 24, 1929 to George & Laura (Ratking) Lott, who both preceded Calvin in death. He was a US Army veteran and on March 16, 1961 he married Sylvia DeMyer in Michigan. Calvin retired in 1993 from Elkhart Brass Co. and was a member of the union. In addition to his parents, Calvin was also preceded in death by siblings, Mary Lou Burkholder, Ruby Woody, John Lott and Leonard Lott. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sylvia Lott of Elkhart; his daughter, Connie (Tony Bayless) Tepe of Elkhart; step-daughter, Cathy (Elbert) Jewel of Quincy MI; sister, Helen Berry of Metropolis IL; grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Tepe, in Missouri currently serving in the US Army and Brandon Tepe of Mishawaka; step-grandchildren, Mandy (Josh) Grindstaff of Bowling Green KY and Ben (Katie) Jewel of Coldwater MI; great-grandchildren, Ty, Owen and Grayson Tepe and step-great-grandchildren, Gage, Braxton, Khloe and Charlie Kaye Grindstaff. Funeral Services 10:30 Thursday July 3, 2014 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
