Carl L. Kiebel, 88, of Elkhart, died Wednesday September 9, 2015 at Elkhart General Hospital. The Elkhart native was born May 6, 1927 to Rudolph & Lois (Norgan) Kiebel. Carl was a US Army veteran of WWII and on October 22, 1950, he married Imogene Crussemeyer in Elkhart. Carl had retired from the UA Local 166, Plumber & Steamfitters Union and enjoyed hunting, fishing & working in his garden; He was devoted to his family and cherished his role as husband, father & grandfather. In addition to his parents, Carl was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bob, Bill & Wink Kiebel. He is survived by Imogene Kiebel, his wife of nearly 65 years; their children, David (Fusako) Kiebel & Mark Kiebel, both of Goshen and Cynthia (Michael) King of Elkhart; grandchildren, Jonathan Kiebel of Lafayette, Jennifer (Luc) Turner of Woodstock GA, Amiee Kiebel of Elkhart, Katie (Michael) Meek of LaPorte and great-grandchildren, Tristan Brown of Elkhart and Hunter Meek of LaPorte, and his sister, Beatrice Rodino of Elkhart. Funeral Services 2:00 Sunday September 13, 2015 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, where friends may call from 12-2pm.
