Carol J. Kollars, 81, of Bristol and formerly of South Bend, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Elkhart General Hospital. The Terre Haute native was born December 28, 1934, the oldest of ten children of Clifford & Irene (Weese) Edmonson. Carol graduated from John Adams High School with the Class of 1952 and married David E. Kollars on June 27, 1953 in South Bend; David preceded her in death on June 13, 1994 after 40 years of marriage. Carol retired as a seamstress for Mark IV Industries in Elkhart and was formerly employed by Uniroyal. She enjoyed the time spent bowling in various leagues, playing Bunco with friends and tending to her cats, "Bud" & "Zema". In addition to her parents and her husband, Carol was also preceded in death by her great-grandson, Christopher and by her brothers, Robert & Charles Edmonson; her sister, Sandy Lehn and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Edmonson. Carol is survived by her children, Christine (Thomas) Quimby of Argos, Stephen (Brenda) Kollars of Foley AL, James (Debbie) Kollars of Rochester and Elizabeth "Beth" (Randy) Presson of Bristol; her brother, Frederick Edmonson of Flint MI; sisters, Janet (Orville) Bivens in Tennessee, Janice Ray in Illinois, Vera (Ernie) Molina of South Bend, Anna Gail (Steve) Temple of Mishawaka, Marilyn Sue Jenner in Illinois; her grandchildren, Nicole, Stephanie, Shannon, Tommi Cathreen "T.C.", Sally, Maggie, Sonny, Ariel "Bubba" and 17 great-grandchildren.
