Caroline H. Sheets, age 94 of Elkhart, passed away June 19, 2013 at Miller''s Merry Manor in Wakarusa. Caroline was born Jan. 2, 1919 in South Bend, IN to the late Maynard J. and Olga Correll. On Aug. 10, 1941, she married Durwood B. Sheets who proceded her in death in October of 2003.

Surviving is her son Thomas D. (Melody) Sheets of Elkhart and 2 grandchildren; John (Darcy) Sheets and Molly Sheets, as well as 4 great grandchildren, Kennedy, Caitlyn, Morgan and Kendall Sheets. Also surviving are her siblings, Ward Correll of Elkhart, Shirley Horn of AZ, and Betty Ware of CA. She was preceded in death by her siblings Robert, Maynard, Bill Correll and Louise Eminger.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the 11 am funeral service on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Caroline was a lifetime resident of the area, and a longtime member of Bethany Missionary Church in Elkhart.
