Carolyn C. Long, 72, of South Bend, entered into eternal rest on April 4, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on July 8, 1949 to the Betty Jean Edwards in Trumann, Arkansas. Carolyn loved to crochet and quilt. She was also an Amazon fanatic and longtime gardener. Carolyn enjoyed being with family and staying in contact with them was so important to her. She enjoyed taking photos of the gardens and her family. Carolyn was really trying to master how to take the perfect selfie pictures.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Long, Sr.; step father, Lewis Frank Edwards; brother, David Richard Barnes, Sr.; and sister, Victoria Elaine Doi.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Erica (Jeff) Lindke; sons, William (Lynn) Long, Jr., and Frank (Gladys) Long; grandchildren, Corey (Breanna) Sainato, Breanna (Austin) Sainato, Jakub (Lakotah) Long, Zoe (Jeff) Long, Abigail Long, Madeline Long, Vivienne Hawkins, Nathan Hopper, Jayden Long, and Haylee Long; along with 5 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home,10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561. Inurnment will be held privately in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grace Hospice.
