Carrie L. (McGillem) Sanchez passed away in her home, after a brief illness, on Monday morning, October 11 th . She would have turned 40 within just 6 short days. She was born to Alan and Diane (Kitson) McGillem on October 17 th , 1981. She is survived by her daughter, Delayne Sanchez who was the absolute love of her life. Her mother, Diane also survives as well as her brother Tony McGillem (Ambrelie). In Tony's words, "she is the coolest sister!". Her ex-husband and good friend, Duaner Sanchez also survives.

She will be remembered by her nephews Riley, Cody and Brady who called her "Kiki". Their overnight sleepovers at her house were the BEST! Also remembering her are several aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

She was employed by Beacon Medical Group North Central Neurosurgery South Bend for several years and was actively attending Ivy Tech to complete her degree in Medical Management. With her role at North Central Neurosurgery, she met a numerous amount of people that impacted her life. Her co-workers were considered "family" to her. She has left a big hole in the organization.

She is remembered for her artistic talent making cakes and crafts, decorating her home without even having to look on Pinterest, as well as her quick wit and tender heart. She was always willing to step in and help others without even being asked.

Within the last year, she adopted a puppy that completely melted her heart. If you knew her, she wasn't really a dog lover. But then, Bailey came along and changed her mind completely. He greeted her every night when she came home, made sure she got her homework done while he sat on her lap, and kept her toes warm every night.

Carrie has left us all here on Earth, but she has paved the way for her remaining family and friends as she waits with open arms for us to join her in heaven. Our hearts are breaking with her absence, but with our great memories of her and her lasting impression on so many people, we know that she will watch over all of us and be in the stands cheering Delayne on at every game!

Viewing will be at Chapel Hill Funeral Home located at 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN on Friday, October 15 th from 4pm-8pm. An additional viewing will be Saturday, October 16 th from 10am-12pm at New Life Church, located at 11593 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN with the funeral service to follow with Pastor Mike Cramer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made towards Delayne's college education expenses. Donation envelopes will be available at Chapel Hill Funeral Home as well as New Life Church.
