Catharee Herthoge, age 82, of Elkhart, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 at Riverside Village Nursing Home. Catharee was born November 14, 1927 in Ellbelle, Georgia to the late Henry and Lillie (Wise) White. On June 21, 1964, Catharee married Albert Herthoge in Cassopolis, Michigan. He preceded her in death.
Surviving is her daughter, Kathy (Ralph) Werner of Mishawaka, and step-son Gregg Herthoge of Union, Michigan, step-son Larry (Susan) Fleck Olympia, Washington. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, Delbert Fleck and her daughter, Glenda Pickett, her siblings; brothers, Ellie J. White, Robbie White, Virdie White, Jessie White and Willie White, Sisters; Dellar McElhaney, Beatrice (Bertie) Mae Duffin, Beulah (Bee) L. Lee, Rose Mae Robbins, Maggie Lee Richardson and Nathalee Bazemore-Pembroke.
Visitation will be held from 2-6 pm Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Catharee was a homemaker, and in her spare time, enjoyed bird watching, reading, working puzzles, crocheting, watching golf on television and most of all dancing.
