Granger-Cathy Lee Owen, 72, passed away with her loving husband Mike and leader dog Willow by her side Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Center for Hospice, Mishawaka.

Cathy was born November 20, 1951 to Robert F. Wilma and Marilyn (VonBaden) Wilma in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Cathy married her junior high school sweetheart, Michael Owen, on June 24, 1972.

She attended kindergarten at Lasalle Elementary, grades 1 through 6 at St. Bavo, Mishawaka, 7 and 8th at Emmons Junior High, where she was a cheerleader and DAR award recipient, grade 9 through graduation from Mishawaka High School, where she was a member of National Honor Society, received the GAR award and was active in volleyball.

Cathy continued her education at IUSB, earning her associates degree in business on May 13, 1997, her Bachelor's Degree in Business on December 1, 2001 and at Indiana Wesleyan her Master's Degree in Management on December 16, 2006.

She is preceded in death by her father Robert Wilma, mother Marilyn Behner, sister Nancy Doncilovic and sister-in-law Mary Owen.

Cathy is survived by her husband Michael Owen, sister Cheryl Cyman (Ken), brother-in-law Bill R. Owen, sister-in-law Bonnie M. Meister, brother-in-law Michael Doncilovic, nieces and nephews Rochelle, Matt, Katie and 13 more nieces and nephews along with "special cousin" Sandi Rzepka and other cousins.

Per her request, there will be no services.
