Cathy (Candy) Ann Samuels of Mishawaka passed away on Monday, Dec. 13 surrounded by her family. Cathy was born in Sturgis, Michigan on January 26, 1954 to Mary Kufeldt and Charles Mobley and passed on Monday from Covid-19 and related complications. A known and respected creative spirit, Cathy owned and operated several businesses through the years to express and share that part of her, including ceramics and handmade soaps and candles. Most recently she and her husband Bruce owned Stone Soup Batiks, a fabric and quilting shop.

Cathy leaves behind Bruce, her husband of 29 years; daughters Candy (George) Riem of Granger and Carrie (Chris) Hurley of Edwardsburg; son Cory (Chelsea) Suiter of Wakarusa; siblings Vicki Hart of Mishawaka, Jean Harlow-Johnson and Donald Kufeldt, of Illinois, and Kitty Kufeldt Freeman of North Carolina; and grandchildren Thomas Riem, Isabella Riem, Madison Lutz, Abby Suiter, Mason Suiter, and Morgan Suiter.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Visitation an hour prior at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway Osceola, IN 46561.
