Chad Alan Smith, 36, of Fort Thomas KY and formerly of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Mishawaka native was born Aug. 17, 1979 to Dwight & Theresa (Glaum) Smith. "Chad touched many people's lives through his work and his vibrant & giving personality. We will never forget what an amazing person he always was." He was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Smith; brother, Jason Glaum and his grandfather, Jesse Glaum. Chad is survived by his wife Tanith (McKula) Smith; sons Thien, Saxon and Rowan Smith; his mother, Theresa Bennet; sister, Rachel (Ryan) McPhearson; mother-in-law, Elizabeth McKula in addition to his grandmothers, aunts & uncles and his cousins. Services were held Wednesday in Fort Thomas KY. Local funeral services are 1:00 Monday, December 28, 2015 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy.
