Obituary

Charles Howard Heintzelman III, age 50, of Elkhart, Indiana passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Hospice House of Elkhart County. Chuck was born August 4, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to Rudolph and LaDonna (Ataniso) Heintzelman. On June 24, 2005, Chuck was united in marriage with Ponetheva Sibounleuang in Elkhart, Indiana.
Ponetheva survives, along with his parents, Rudolph and LaDonna of Melrose Park, Illinois, and his son, Charles H. (Kristin) Heintzelman IV of Elkhart, Indiana. Chuck is also survived by his step children; Elvia (Dave) Steiner of Oak Park, Illinois, Odell (Carrie) Waters of Oak Forest, Illinois, Nancy Sibounleuang and Ken Sibounleuang, both of Elkhart, as well as his sisters, Carla (David) Montegomery of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and Michelle (Marty) McClearn of Carol Stream, Illinois. Chuck is also survived by his grandson, Tysen D. McCarty. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rudolph Heintzelman Jr.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 5:00 pm (CST) funeral service on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Brust Funeral Home; 415 N. Gary Avenue, Caroll Stream, Illinois, 60188. There will also be calling at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana from 2-6 pm Sunday, May 23, 2010, and cremation will follow.
Chuck was employed as the Second Shift Plant Manager at Carpenter Company in Elkhart for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing and watching golf, cooking, listening to music, especially AC/DC, playing Fantasy Football, and visiting his family in the Chicago area. In his memory, contributions may be made to the Relay for Life. Online donations are accepted at www.cancer.org.
