Charles W. Husband, 91, of Elkhart, passed away on March 5, 2019.  He was born on October 17, 1927 to Floyd V. and Louzeal (Hartman) Husband in Elkhart, Indiana.  Charles was a 1945 graduate of Wakarusa High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army during World War ll.  He shared the past 38 years with his loving companion, Elsie Anglemyer and she survives.  Charles was a member of Operating Engineers Local 150 and worked as an Operating Engineer for Haines and Haines Construction for many years.  He enjoyed boating, fishing, puzzles, cards, wood and metal working, and was a member of the Simonton Lake Association.  He is survived by his companion of 38 years, Elsie Anglemyer; his children, Sheryle (Raymond) Hall, Elizabeth (Clyde) Brown, and Christine (Jimmy) Malcolm; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Miller whom Charles helped to raise.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Marjorie Shuemaker, Betty Baldwin.  Friends and family will be received on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 3-5 PM in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN  46561.  A funeral service in Charles' honor will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 2 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Center for Hospice, 22579 Old U S 20, Elkhart IN  46516.
