Mishawaka – Charlotte Rochelle Hale, 80, took the hand of Jesus and peacefully passed away on August 24, 2026, at her home , with her loving family by her side.

Charlotte was born on November 27, 1945, in Kouts, Indiana, to the late Arnet and Bessie (Miller) Dawson. Charlotte was married on May 30, 1970 to Ernest L Hale Sr. who preceded her in death. Also proceeding her in death were sons; Joe Hale, Eric Hale, brothers Paul, Sam, Carl, and Eric; and sisters Edna, Louise and Rita.

Charlotte worked for many years and retired from Burcliff Industries, where she helped assemble wire harnesses for Whirlpool appliances. She was a woman of strong Christian faith and occasionally attended New Life Church in Osceola.

Charlotte found joy in the simple things in life. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, answering every Jeopardy question with ease, as well as playing bingo. Above all, she cherished her family and the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her loving and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving children, William Hale, Laura (Joel) Helge-Smith, Ernest Hale Jr, Brandon (Kim) Hale, Amber Hale, grandchildren; Keith Hale, Koriann Hale, Kaylee (Dale) Craft, Autumn Hale, Maddie Howey, Emmalyn Hale, Dylan Hale, Danica Littler, Sarah Hale, and Dallas Hale; great-grandchildren, Keegan, Karlton, Logan, and Sebastian “Bash”; along with special niece Willadene Farrington and other numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and associates.

Charlotte’s faith, love for her family, and warm heart will remain forever in the memories of those who were blessed to know her.

THe family will receive friends on Thursday September 3, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM and the funeral will immediately follow at 12 Noon with pastor Mike Cramer officiating, all at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, IN.
